Ascendant conjunct Descendant
The Ascendant is how one presents oneself and the Descendant is what one seeks and projects onto the other; together they form the axis of the self and the bond. In conjunction on this axis, at the same degree, the way one person appears lands exactly on the point of what the other expects from the encounter. There is a fit between one's own image and the other's inner partner. The central meaning is complementarity: one piece slots into the hollow of the other.
