Semisextile

The semisextile connects two planets 30 degrees apart, one full sign of separation. It is the narrowest of the eleven principal aspects, and also one of the subtlest in its effect. The planets involved are in adjacent signs that, by definition, share neither element nor mode: they are zodiac neighbors who speak different languages. The energy between them neither flows nor clashes dramatically; there is simply a relationship of adjacency that requires attention to become conscious. In synastry, the semisextile tends to go unnoticed in a surface-level analysis, but it can point to a zone of subtle contact between two people, an influence that works more through accumulation than impact. Its contribution is awareness of boundaries and transitions. The typical orb is 1 to 2 degrees.
